Palmeiras does not sign a note in Union of Clubs and confirms support to Samir Xaud

Palmeiras did not sign a manifesto released by clubs members of Libra (Brazilian Football League) and LFU (Forte União League), which charged changes in national football amid the transition of power in the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

The absence of Palmeiras is given the support of President Leila Pereira to the candidacy of Samir Xaud for the presidency of the CBF. Alviverde was one of four Serie A clubs to sign joint action to approve the plate, as well as Botafogo, Grêmio and Vasco.

Leila Pereira even confirmed that she sees xaud aligned with the ideas of Palmeiras future for Brazilian football.

“I talked to the two presidential candidates of the CBF and understood that the proposals of Samir Xaud’s plate are the best for the growth of Brazilian football. He was committed to the guidelines that Palmeiras has been defending during my management, such as the implementation of financial fair play, the reduction of state championships and the creation of a league that gives autonomy to clubs in the organization of national competitions,” he said.

THE CNN Sports confirmed the information of the UOL and found that the Palmeiras prefers tranquility for xaud to work than charges prior to the beginning of the work, in fact.
