Manny Pacquiao announced his return to the 46 -year -old ring and almost four years after his last fight.
Filipino says he will face WBC Champion Mario Barrios on July 19 in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao now intends to become the oldest world champion of boxing weight.
“I’m back,” said Pacquiao on social media. “Let’s make history.”
PACCIAO currently holds the record of Older midfielder champion, When he beat Keith Thurman in 2019 to claim the 40 -year -old WBA (Super) world title.
The WBC restricted the controversial package in its five -week rankings, as speculation about its return.
WBC president Mauricio Suliman defended the decision, saying, “Pacquiao was licensed by Nevada and passed all doctors and as a legendary WBC champion was approved to fight for our organization.”
Pacquiao last fought in August 2021, when he Lost in points for Yordinis Ugas.
Boxing legend is four times midfielder and has a general record of 62 fights, eight losses and two draws.
Since retiring from boxing, he was involved in politics in his home country, but last week has failed his attempt to be elected to the Philippines Senate.
