An Aberdeen supporter appeared in court accused of playing part of a chair he hit and injured one of the team’s players in a match in Dundee.
Jack Mackenzie was hit in the head after the defeat of his team’s Scottish Premiership against Dundee United on Saturday.
David Gowans, 31, is accused of acting guilty and reckless at Tannadice Park, playing a seat that hit Mackenzie for his severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
He made no appeal during a private audience at the Dundee Sheriff Court and received bail, with a special condition not to watch any games involving Aberdeen.
