Final Cup Challenge: Warrington Wolves Matt Dufty Eyes Redemption for 2024

Matt Dufty played in the final season in Wembley and had 80 minutes of incident-deixou sin in the early five minutes and then marking a late attempt to hope for a return against Wigan.

A year later, he admitted that his side was won at the time and left the pressure to play in Wembley to reach them.

“For us last year we probably won in the first half. The occasion probably came to us a little,” he told BBC Sport.

“We lost the game even before we start. This year, I hope we can start with a level head. We can come in a clear mind, clear game plan and fulfill.

“Hull Kr is probably the team in shape at the moment and they will be confident. We have to come in and do the best of themselves.”

Warrington did well at the Challenge Cup, beating St Helens and Leigh Leopards on his way to reaching this year’s end, but they were inconsistent in the Super League and are currently the eighth at the table.

“For us, our game plan was probably a little interrupted this year. We didn’t have a column that played all year. We had to discover things out and change game last week,” he added.

“I hope that with George Williams and Marc Sneyd there we can have a structured game plan and attack where we need and where we want.”
