UEFA says the Euro 2028-Mosts England, Scotland, Wales and Republic of Ireland will have to qualify to participate in the competition.
Nine locations in the four nations of origin will stage the tournament of 24 teams.
Unlike the previous euros who saw the hosts automatically qualify, UEFA had to change its protocols, given the 2028 edition being held in the four nations.
Instead, 20 nations will pass, with 12 as group winners and eight as the best-placed runner-up.
Two of the remaining four points will be allocated to the two best-classified host nations that did not automatically qualified, while the last two places will be decided by play-offs to the other runners-up in the group phase.
