Craig Bellamy: The head of Wales promises to attack in Belgium

Coach Craig Bellamy promised that Wales would go to the attack on Belgium on Monday after defeating Liechtenstein to overcome his qualification group for the World Cup.

The 3-0 triumph on Friday night in Cardiff extended the unbeaten start of Wales in Bellamy to nine games and took two points ahead in the J.

They face their Severus challenge still under their ex -captain on Monday, when they travel to Brussels to face the group’s main seeds.

Belgium only started its campaign on Friday, granting a late draw in northern Macedonia to leave them six points behind Wales, although with two games in hand.

Asked if he thought this result put Belgium under pressure before facing Wales, Bellamy said, “No, I don’t. These games can happen. They didn’t lose.

“Did I expect them to receive three points? I did. I need to see the game back to better return what happened and how it happened, and even to me. But yes, North Macedonia played its role, so good.

“We go there and I’m not camping. I’m not sitting. It’s not in my makeup. I can’t do that, I don’t want to do that.

“So let me watch the game a little more. I have a little more in my head, but I’m really excited about it.”
