Bukayo Saka: Arsenal wing left out of the England team to face Andorra on Saturday


Arsenal striker Bukayo Saka was left out of the England team that will face Andorra in the World Cup round of Saturday (17:00 BST).

Atletico Madrid’s midfielder Conor Gallagher and Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins were also left out of the journey team, with Watkins returning home with a short injury,

Speaking of Friday, coach Thomas Tuchel revealed that Saka had completed only one full training session during the week, with his omission by the team to face Andorra is probably linked to his aptitude.

Saka, 23, is yet to play with Tuchel after losing German’s first camp for injury.

It remains to be seen if Saka will play a role in the friendly against Senegal on June 10 to add to his 43 Caps to the three lions.

The extreme lost three months of action between December and April with a tendon injury, although he returned for the last two months of the campaign.

It was confirmed on Friday that Watkins would let the group return to England as a precaution because of a small injury.

It is unclear at this stage if Gallagher’s omission is due to a fitness issue.

England is unbeaten in the World Cup qualification, winning the two early matches against Latvia and Albania.
