Adam Hosee has reached a devastating 95 of 51 balls to help Worcestershire Rapids ensure a 25 -racing winning win on Trent Bridge.
The hosts won the draw and placed Worcestershire in Bat – a decision that seemed to be paying dividends when they caught two quick initial fakes to put the rapids under pressure at 1-2.
Worcestershire captain Brett D’Oliveira went to a golden duck in a bizarre way, only three balls in the entrances when he lost his balance while trying to take a quick single and player Daniel Sams reacted quickly to dismiss him with a direct blow.
Ed Pollock then hammered the former Worcestershire Dillon Pennington Jacker, Matthew Montgomery’s first ball in deep square throat to leave the rapids in a place of discomfort.
But Kashif Ali instantly entered the Worcestershire attack, reaching three six overs to finish the powerplay by 57-2.
There he moved to 51, but soon after being caught in the background by Lyndon James, after going down the track to Calvin Harrison in 10th place and sending a straight for a long time.
From that moment on, the hose stepped in the gas and produced a screened screen, crushing six – two of which sailed over the support – and seven four.
The first maxion maximum was the largest in the lot, sending a huge scan to the street outside Liam Patterson-White.
Hose repeated the trick again soon after, this time from Harrison, and then went to the 21st T20 career in his half -century career – and the second of the season – in some style when pulling Conor McKERR for six.
Ethan Brookes skillfully supported by hose, making 32 valuables of 19 balls before trying to pass a lot on the leg side against Patterson-White, but was caught by Sams in the background to end a 79 racing partnership to leave Rapids in 153-4.
However, it did not diminish Worcestershire’s progress, as Ben Dwarshuis joined Hose in the middle and they made 16 Pennington races on the 17th and then 19 of Sams on the penultimate day of the entrances.
There was still time for another six in the Pennington final – and the 11th of the night for Rapids – when Dwarshuis crushed one in the middle of the wicket, on the way to 18, without nine balls.
With the hose chasing what would have been the first century of the season’s T20 explosion, he tried to take Pennington to the thin leg, but got stuck in front, leaving only five races with less than one ton when Worcestershire ended in 206-5.
Hose’s 95 is the highest score of the T20 explosion season with Lancashire Keaton Jennings, also reaching the same figure against notts in May.
