Rory McLroy of Northern Ireland says he is “worried” about his way he enters the US open next week after fighting driver problems at Open Canadian.
The 36 -year -old man I lost the cut at Open Canadian on Fridayending nine in the pair and 149th in a field of 153 men.
The Masters champion fired a 78 of eight pairs during his second round while fighting to understand a new driver.
Miccilroy’s previous driver was ruled not according to the eve of the US PGA Championship last monthWith the North Irish reaching 47th in North Carolina.
With a new 44 -inch driver in his hand, Mcilroy found only 13 of the 28 Fairways in Toronto and quadrupled eight in the four -hole pair after a disastrous Tee.
“Of course it worries me,” said McRs.
“You don’t want to record tall scores like the one I did today. I felt that I came here, obviously with a new driver, thinking that this kind of would be good and solve some of the problems outside Tee, but did not.
“Obviously, going to Oakmont next week, which you need to do more than anything else, there are successful facts. I’m still looking for the TEE piece. Obviously for me, when I have part of the game, so everything fits me. At the moment, it’s not a concern next week.”
