Open French 2025: Novak Djokovic said goodbye to the crowd of Roland Garros – but will he be back?

An irregular season of Djokovic’s high standards led to questions about his resistance and motivation that enters Roland Garros.

The departure of the rival who became coach Andy Murray also indicated that things were not working as expected, although he warmed up to win his 100th ATP title at Geneva Open.

Djokovic’s performance against Sinner has shown that he is not ready to retire yet – and emphasized why he prioritizes the four majors in the last stages of his career.

“These tournaments are the priorities of my agenda,” said Djokovic.

“Wimbledon and we open, yes, they are in plans. That’s all I can say now.

“I feel I want to play these two for sure. For the rest, I’m not so sure.”

Djokovic will bid for an eighth title of Wimbledon Singles, having lost the last two finals to Alcaraz.

“Wimbledon is my favorite childhood tournament. I will do everything possible to prepare me,” he added.

“I think my best chances may be Wimbledon, you know, to win another Slam or maybe Australia.”
